Radio telemetry in depth of mv network
More and more restrictive periods of unsupplying electric energy consumers enforced in recent years dynamic development of telemetries situated in the depth of MV networks which are used for performing both planned and emergency switches during network failures detection. Because of considerable distances between such objects and dispatcher centers using wire or fibre-optic connections is not economically justified. For this class of objects the only technically and economically justified solution is the radio telemetry. Currently the most widely-used radio system in distribution is the DIGICOM7 trunking system by ALCATEL. For 3-4 years the system based on the GPRS cellular network connection in the APN network technology gains more and more recognition. But this system is dependent on public operator and some companies are a little bit suspicious according to this solution.
The brand new idea is to build radio system independent from trunking and GPRS/APN and serving only for telemetry purposes.
It may be done by means of a radio channel with frequency assigned by UKE (Urząd Kontroli Elektronicznej / Office of Electronic Communication). In order to get a frequency a company should perform propagation measurements in the given area, design a project on the basis of those measurements and send an application to UKE.
