The photovoltaic market in Poland is currently a huge construction site, propelled, among others, by RES (Renewable Energy Sources) auctions. Based on auctions settled only in 2020, photovoltaic installations may reach the power of over 1560 MW.
In the beginning of this year we won the biggest order in the history of MIKRONIKA for solar power plants – the SCADA system together with telemetry cubicles for 86 farms, 1 MW each.
We are pleased to inform that – not slowing down – we have just extended our portfolio with other objects of total power 86 MW. Negotiations concerning the new order have not been easy and the difficult situation on the component market as well as rising prices have surely made the task even tougher.
During the first stage of the order, i.e. production of control cubicles and controllers, we have managed to realize deliveries almost instantly, meeting Client's high requirements concerning terms. Our control cubicle production department has done a great job. During the next steps of the project, consisting of implementation works on the objects and editing data in the system, we have encountered numerous challenges and problems, but we have solved them and finished the works on time.
The start-up works have been realized day by day, often in harsh conditions in the field, in cooperation with several subcontractors. A person with biggest experience, whose competence is highly valued by the Client has been responsible for realizing the entire project, coordination and technical issues. The Contractor has turned to us many times with various technical, and the help provided by us has been appreciated and recognized as an additional advantage of our company.
The support from out IT department has been also of a great importance. Due to the scope of the project our colleagues often help Client's staff, sharing their knowledge and experience.
Today our SCADA SYNDIS is functioning in the Client's Dispatching Centre. Apart from standard functions, it is also realizing functionalities pertaining to PV object maintenance, such as active and reactive power constraints, cos fi, productivity rate calculations and report generation. Up to now, we have delivered over 50 control cubicles within the currently realized project and we plan to manufacture the remaining ones by the end of this year.
Moreover, we are looking forward to increasing our cooperation – for the next year we anticipate projects of total power 385 MW.
