The current development of the RES branch in Poland, highly expected and being a very important component of the economy, brings additional tasks and expectations especially within cooperation with the power system. Proper integration of new generation sources applying modern technologies allows a balanced development of RES maintaining reliable and safe operation of the system and appropriate quality of energy for consumers.
Taking all these issues into consideration, we are truly happy and proud to announce that in the beginning of June this year MIKRONIKA and EDF RENEWABLES POLSKA signed a letter of intent pertaining to the project “Design of a Polish control unit of a solar farm meeting requirements of the NC RfG network codes and cooperating with DSO and TSO systems”.
The aim of this project is to design a versatile device for controlling a solar farm connected to a 110 kV and LV networks meeting all requirements of network codes implementing the Commission Regulation (EU) 2016/631 of 14th April 2016 establishing a network code on requirements for grid connection of generators. An additional innovation of this solution in relation to devices applied worldwide is full integrity and compatibility of the device with superior systems for managing a power grid applied by DSO and TSO.
