As part of the SYNDIS system, which is integrated software of the NMS (Network Management System) class, servers and workstations work. The hardware configurations of the servers are prepared depending on the place it occupies in the application layer of the SYNDIS system. Workstations, which in this case are dispatcher terminals, also play an important role in the system. Depending on their function, they can be equipped with one or more monitors.
In the case of small installations, the server and the operator station application can be installed on one device. []
The SO-5S real-time process server is one of the devices of the SO-5 substation automation system. The server's task is to collect data delivered from acquisition devices, then process it, archive it and make it available to specific users in the selected scope. Data is delivered to the server from station devices, directly by data collection subsystems or by communication computers, eg SO-55. The server makes processed data available to operator stations that locally visualize the processed data for the needs of operators. System users may be SO-50 operator stations connected to the local computer network with SCADA SYNDIS RV software installed.
The SO-5S real-time process server is implemented in the technology of distributed and separated servers: databases, system services and applications. The term "server" in this context refers to programs and processes. Server applications, depending on the needs, are embedded on one or more computers. In small installations, the server and the SYNDIS RV operator station application can be installed on one computer.
The selection of the appropriate server for cooperation with the SYNDIS system, used as part of the Industrial Automation System (SAS), is carried out on the basis of the product key.
The SO-5S server is the hardware platform of the ARGUS-RV system and has been tested by CNBOP-PIB. Certificate of Conformity No. 2975/2014 (attached below) was issued, confirming compliance with the technical specifications and the possibility of using it in the construction industry in the field of monitoring and control of technical protection systems and facility safety management. The certificate is also available on the website of Telbud SA. []
The SO-5S-WWW server of remote stations is an element of the SO-5 Control and Supervision System. Its purpose is to enable access to system data by dedicated users (web clients) via WAN and LAN using the TCP / IP protocol. It is a solution that facilitates access due to lower hardware requirements and the lack of specialized software. On the other hand, it aims to relieve the real-time servers of large numbers of users. Clients of the remote workstation server can be workstations located in remote supervision centers or mobile workstations using wireless communication.
For the correct operation of the web server program module, the SYNDIS RV real-time server is required. The web server is the application server and does not have its own database. Changes in the SSiN system are automatically updated in the web server and on the terminals. Therefore, the correct operation of the system requires an online connection to the real-time server.
The web servers, as part of the SYNDIS SO-5 control and supervision system, enable:
WEB clients do not have to install the application individually on their computers, because they use the application installed on the system's web server. At startup, the terminal downloads all the required data from the server, and during the connection it provides automatic refreshing of data such as signal lists, alarm lists or currently displayed signals. Users of www terminals can work in any location defined by the range of the Intranet or the Internet. Virtually all the features of the SYNDIS RV software may be available. The scope of using the system on terminal stations is determined by the type of the web server used, full or simplified - Lite, and the system administrator.
The server can be delivered in a free-standing "desktop" type housing or in a 19” industrial housing. []
The SO-5S-HMI operator station is a device based on a standard PC with one or more monitors. The SYNDIS RV software performs the functions of an advanced SCADA/DMS/OMS/EMS program.
With data collection devices the terminal can be connected via RS-232, RS-485 or Ethernet interfaces. The terminal is available in two variants: stationary and for mounting in a RACK (19”) cabinet. The terminal can be combined into multi-station sets, which enable the handling of alarms in an integrated manner.
The basic functions of the operator's station are:
Visualization of both the state of the substation and power grids is performed with the use of block diagrams, drawings with symbolic elements describing the state of the system, and with the help of diagrams. It is possible to display several visualization screens simultaneously. The coloring of the lines occurs dynamically as a result of analytical operations and calculation of functions. []
