MIKRONIKA supports efforts to end the use of conflict minerals, also known as conflict materials, which are used to finance activities that violate human rights.
MIKRONIKA expects its suppliers to identify the source and origin of the minerals used in their products to verify and confirm that they do not originate from war zones and that the funds spent to acquire them are not used to finance armed groups from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, neighboring countries, or other armed groups.
The following minerals are considered "conflict materials":
They are an integral part of many technologies, and when introduced into a company's supply chain, they can be used to produce a wide variety of products. We agree that social responsibility issues must be addressed throughout the supply chain.
MIKRONIKA does not directly purchase minerals from suppliers, but products supplied by our suppliers may contain metals sourced from mines located in the Democratic Republic of the Congo or neighboring countries. Our suppliers must implement policies regarding the safe sourcing of minerals and exercise due diligence to ensure these policies are met.
If MIKRONIKA receives information that a supplier fails to meet these expectations, the company's Management Board will take appropriate action to resolve the situation, including reassessing the relationship with the supplier. []
