The PLC-201 modem is designed to transmit data via 230V AC power lines in industrial installations. The design of the modem was oriented towards remote reading of electricity meters in AMR (Automatic Meter Reading) systems. The software embedded in the device enables the operation of extensive networks of reading energy meters. The modem is the end device for data transmission from the electricity meter and is equipped with a separate RS-485 interface. 
The PLC-MAP-x modem is designed to transmit data on 230V AC power lines in industrial installations. It acts as a 3-phase access point to the PLC network of AMR meter systems. PLC (Power Line Communication) technology uses low voltage power lines as the transmission medium.
The PLC-MAP-x device acts as the manager of the network of PLC-201 readout devices adapted for installation with electricity meters. PLC-MAP-x is an intermediary between the supervisory system, communicating in technology other than PLC, and the network of PLC-201 devices using this interface.
For communication with the supervisory system, PLC-MAP-1 has an RS-485 interface, and PLC-MAP-2 has an Ethernet interface. Each type of device has an additional RS-232 service interface. 
The MLK-0xx modem is designed for two-way data transmission (full duplex) on switched lines with a transmission speed of up to 33.6 kb / s (MLK-01x up to 56 kb / s) and up to 115.2 kb / s on the RS-232 interface /V.24. The modem works with protocols of error detection and correction and data compression.
MLK-0x1 is delivered by default as a SYNDIS system package in the form of a 6U card.
MLK-0x2 is a device that is mounted in a free-standing aluminum housing.
To be able to control the operation of the modem from a computer, communication software is required. 
The MLK-1xx modem is designed for two-way data transmission (full duplex) on switched lines with transmission rates up to 56 kb / s and up to 115.2 kb / s on the RS-232 / V.24 interface. The modem has galvanically separated RS-485 and RS-232/V.24 interfaces.
